Large and intense c. 1910 portrait photograph of young rookie phenom Ray Caldwell of the New York Highlanders. He was once one of the top prospects in the game and a trade was offered at one time to move him straight across for Walter Johnson but the YANKEES turned it down! Taken by photographer Paul Thompson and stamped on the back, this is as good as deadball era baseball photography gets!
