From the scrapbook of Wilmer Fields from when he was just starting out, the lot is highlighted by a previously unpublished and unknown image of the greatest pitcher in the world, Satchel Paige as he delivered a pitch. An incredible piece of baseball history, Paige is warming up before the start of a game and fans mingle around the rickety stands. Still mounted to scrapbook paper and slightly soiled, it is impossible to overstate the importance of new discoveries like this showing Paige at the height of his career!
