1920's Silver gelatin photograph of former Long Branch Cubans star and major league pioneer (1913) Jacinto Calvo. He is playing for a team that has a crest of VTC (looks like Vagado Towns Club) and is running the bases. Taken by noted photographer Jose Gomez who took many of the Cuban league images of the era, this is a fine image and one of the only examples of Calvo we have ever seen. NOTE, a researcher has indicated to us that this possibly an image of Joaquin Calvo instead of Jacinto Calvo and more research is needed.
