Large 1934 photograph from the World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the "Gas House Gang" St. Louis Cardinals in which the most famous athlete in the World, Babe Ruth as he recently finished his career with the Yankees and made a guest appearance for the fans! Seen conversing with Joe Medwick of the Cardinals, this is a fine image in pretty nice shape. While it is impossible to know exactly when this photo was made, it had the look and feel of an original 1930's example but is probably from later in the decade (c. 1940).
