Large 1934 photograph of the American baseball stars as they pose on the boat before heading to Japan to help spread the game and a little goodwill in a tumultuous world. Led by mega-stars Babe Ruth (center) and Lou Gehrig (far right side) the team also boasted Jimmie Foxx, Charlie Gehringer and others. A special touch also in this photo is a rare look at many of the players wives as well. Issued by the Empress Hotel of Victoria, B.C. and stamped on the back, this is a fantastic image in beautiful condition!
