Famous 1926 photograph in which Babe Ruth swallows his pride and playfully poses with the man who suspended him from baseball the previous season, Judge Landis. It had to seem bitter sweet for Landis as well who despised Ruth and thought he was finished, but 1926 would be a punch in the face to Ruth's detractors as he had one of the best seasons of his career! Taken at the World Series in St. Louis, Ruth has gone into the crowd to take the photo and while everyone is all smiles, a tension permeates the air. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, there is the possibility that the man who took the photo was Charles Conlon but more research is needed to determine who actually took the photo. Clean and clear, the photo is in nice shape as well with a small chip on the upper right border.
