The Phillies were pretty bad for a number of years, but every spring they scraped together as much talent as they could and went to battle. 1936 Was no different and these were the boys that the front office hoped could hurl them to some victories and maybe surprise some people in the process. Nobody really good in here to speak of, but some veterans and obscurities that all hoped for a good year, the Phillies would in fact go 64-90 and generate the lowest attendance in the league as well! A rare image from the International News and in pretty nice shape.
