1928 Posed action photograph of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander in full uniform and taken on the eve of the World Series against the Yankees. A few years earlier he was the savior of the team as he came in with the bases loaded and struck out Tony Lazzeri to preserve the game. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, this bears a partial stamp on the back. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
