One of the better hitters in the American League during the 1920's that gets no love was William Lamar. He started his career with the Yankees and then headed over to the Athletics where he helped build the team that would eventually win two consecutive World Series in 1929-30. He had a career .310 average and in the year this impressive photograph he batted .356! A fantastic image in great shape!
