Golf is big business today but one hundred years ago it was a sport just getting its grip on the American public. The offered photograph is what we believe to be the first appearance of golf on the Hollywood big screen as famous actor Wallace Reid plays a golfer alongside his lover Doris Kenyon. Seen here with his clubs, this is a double weight silver gelatin masterpiece of photography from the famed Hartsook Studios of California. This is the only known image from this lost film we have ever seen and we believe it to be the first example of golf in film!
