Lot Description  

1948 Portrait photo of Casey Stengel who had just been named the new manager of the Yankees. A cool photo showing the future Hall of Famer winking at photographer Art Sarno as if he knew what the future held! Photo was issued by the International News and it presents beautifully with one small tack hole on the lower left corner area. This is truly the moment a legend was born!
