Hooks Wiltse was one of the keys to the success of the New York Giants of the early 20th century. A two time 20 game winner and a career 2.47 ERA, his contributions to the success of the team can not be overstated. The offered photograph from George Grantham Bain captures him near the end of his career (1914) but still pitching effectively for one of the top teams in the league. A crystal clear original that shows him practicing his hitting before the start of a game at the ballpark.
