The 1927 Yankees are widely considered to be the greatest team in baseball history. Led by Babe Ruth and his record sixty home runs, he was complimented by a young star on the rise named Lou Gehrig to form the greatest one-two punch in the history of the game. While the team received accolade after accolade, there are relatively few vintage photographs of the team that have surfaced over the years with this being a crystal clear and bold silver gelatin original that has stood the test of time remarkably well. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, this is a tremendous original piece of baseball history with a full paper caption on the back as well. Condition is pretty nice with some handling wear and a small crease which has separated a touch on the far right border.
