Hugh Casey was one of the top relief pitchers of the 1940's for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He is seen here trying to get ready before entering a game and being beat but on this day he had two opponents; the St. Louis Cardinals and the sweltering New York heat! Using a wet towel and perching over the dugout drinking fountain, he is cooling off in an attempt to beat the heat. An interesting photo as quality images of Casey are tough to find but this also gives a really intimate look at the inside of the Dodgers dugout during a game as well. A unique new discovery being offered here for the first time ever and in fine condition overall.
