One of the most obscure members of the 1927 Yankees was pitcher Urban Shocker. He was their relief specialist and a key member of the team. His images are almost impossible to find however as he was not a star and he was the first player on the team to die as he passed away in 1929 from an illness. The offered photograph was taken in 1926 and shows Shocker in full uniform for the Yankees and it was taken by George Grantham Bain and carries a stamp and a date on the back. One of the best images of Shocker we have ever seen and in high grade with not to the top having an irregular cut (almost certainly done by Bain).
