1956 Pre-rookie card photograph of young pitcher from the Detroit tigers Jim Bunning in full uniform. It is hard to imagine someone as dominant as Bunning spending so much time struggling before he made it big, but Bunning actually started his career in 1950 and his rookie card was not until 1957! The offered photo was almost certainly taken in spring training and it has a stamp on the back with the date from a foreign photographer. A fine clear image with a few light creases on the far left.
