Before he was the greatest pitcher of his generation, Sandy Koufax was an 18 year old pitching star from the University of Cincinnati. Seen here in his college uniform the photo has a prophetic statement on the bottom announcing that Koufax was "ready" to sign with the Dodgers. This is one of the earliest images of Koufax in uniform that exists and it pre-dates his rookie baseball card by a full season! Condition and quality are both outstanding.
