One of the more exciting unique images we have sold, the offered item is a 1920's piece of baseball art from the Sporting News which was made using a photograph of the 1869 Forest City team (featuring Al Spalding and Ross Barnes among others) and with an inset photograph of Al Reach who was the biggest name in the game in 1869. The photo of the Forest City club is a re-strike from sometime in the 1910's-1920's while the image of Reach is an original studio photo that has been die-cut for the display. Artistically arranged on a thick piece of artists board, this is a unique piece of baseball history!
