1924 Studio photo of famous and tragic early silent film actress Barbara LaMarr. She was coined to be "too beautiful" and played some major roles in the pre-code era of Hollywood. She was also known as a free spirit that married five times in seven years and was addicted to drugs and alcohol which led to her death in January 1926. This rare photograph was taken as her life started to unravel in 1924 and it has a full paper caption on the back. The tones are deep and bold but the photo has some pinholes from editorial use. One of her best portraits we have ever seen.
