1906 Extremely rare photograph of the three men who led Yale to a National Championship on the year. At left is longtime trainer John Mack, at center is coach Foster Rockwell, and at right is captain Sam Morse. Rockwell was an All American player and images of him are extremely rare with this being the only example we have ever seen. Mack is likewise a cult-like figure in Yale history as a longtime track coach and athletic trainer. Morse was the captain who led Yale to the national championship and was twice voted as All American. After he graduated he became a golf pioneer who built Pebble Beach. A rare image of the three Yale legends together in one image, taken in uniform on the football field in 1906. Stamped on the back by the Pictorial News and offered here for the first time ever.
