1956 Action photograph of Carl Erskine from the Brooklyn Dodgers as he tried to cement his no-hitter against the New York Giants. A sweeping image from behind home plate, Erskine has just let the ball go toward Whitey Lockman and it is suspended in animation between himself and the batter, creating a dramatic work of baseball art. This is the only image from the event we have ever seen and it has a stamp and handwritten notes on the back from the New York Daily News. The condition and quality are both outstanding and this has been encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1.
