1926 Extremely rare action photograph of the famous Miami Hurricane that almost wiped the burgeoning city off the map. Miami was a hot destination when the storm hit, and many thought it would spell doom for the Florida destination, but it would rebuild and become one of the greatest cities in America. Due to the dangers of the storm and primitive camera equipment of the day, only a handful of images of the hurricane were taken with this image being a unique discovery with artistic painting added for dramatic affect. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. The photo has pinholes from editorial use and chipping from news-room handling, but otherwise it looks great.
