1912 Double weight and completely vintage photograph of survivors from the famed "Titanic" as they had just been pulled from the ocean and taken onto the "Carpathia" to be ferried to New York City. A famous image that has been reproduced millions of times, this is the only vintage example we have ever seen and it comes fresh from the archive of the Central Press. Stamped on the back by Underwood and Underwood, the photo also has a full paper caption and important 1912 date stamp! This is the only period example of this photograph we have ever seen in the world. It is important to note that there are no known examples of this photo that are off the original negative and all images from this group taken aboard the "Carpathia" are from duplicate negatives, making this the finest example to ever his the market!
