Large 1911 photograph of the bodies of young girls who were killed in the famous Triangle Shirtwaist disaster, lined up in coffins so that they could be identified by relatives and loved ones. A poignant piece of photography from one of the greatest tragedies in American history, this was issued about 20-25 years later by the International News (1930's) but clearly off the original negative and in great shape. One of the most visually dramatic images we have ever handled and it grades high with note to a tiny spot of paper loss on the bottom border.
