On December 7, 1941 the Japanese struck the forces at Pearl Harbor in an act of War against the United States. The next day, in one of the most famous speeches ever given, President Franklin Roosevelt declared the previous morning a "Date that will Live in Infamy" and officially declared War on Japan. This image is a rare sweeping shot of Roosevelt as he gave that very speech to Congress. An important moment in American history, images from the speech are actually quite rare with this being a huge example. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
