1939 Large photograph of Nazi leader Herman Goering as he stood in for Adolf Hitler (who was absent in Austria) and addressed a massive crowd at a rally on "Heroe's Day" in Germany. An aesthetically outstanding image with a swastika at the podium and all the pomp of a typical Nazi rally behind him, this is a rarity that is off the original negative and issued by a German division of the International News. A work of photographic art that employs fantastic use of light and shadows for dramatic effect.
