c. 1915 Fantastic and candid photograph of the most beautiful woman in the world at the time, Evelyn Nesbit. She was not only a high profile model and actress, but so coveted by men that she was the subject of a torrid love triangle that resulted in a famous murder. This image is a stunning photograph that shows the somber actress (who was addicted to drugs and tried to commit suicide) in a rare, happy mood from the height of her fame. The photograph comes with part of the folder it was found in at a newspaper archive which identifies it as being taken in her personal tea room in her New York City home. The condition and quality are outstanding and this is one of her best images we have ever seen!
