1936 Large photograph of former black boxer Jack Johnson as he gives some pointers to Leroy Haynes before his match with Primo Carnera. His advice must have worked as Haynes would destroy the former Heavyweight Champion of the World in 53 seconds! This is a poignant and touching image of Johnson who is perhaps one of the biggest tragedies of racism in sports, working with another young man that was trying to follow in his footsteps. A large and completely vintage image in great shape, this is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen and it is being offered here for the first time ever.
