1937 Extremely rare and early portrait photograph of Hall of Famer Enos Slaughter in full uniform for the Columbus Red Birds. He had spent the season setting the American Association on fire and was set to make the jump to the Major Leagues. While the stamps and newspaper captions on the back are from a bit later (1939) the image definitely captures Slaughter wearing a Red Birds cap and in one of the few images from this season we have ever seen. There is some creasing and handling wear from age and newspaper use, but the photo is exceptionally clean and clear despite the wear.
