1924-25 Extremely early photograph of an assemblage of major league ballplayers in uniform. We are not sure of the event, but it appears this was a pre-season game of some type between members of the Milwaukee Brewers and local stars, including a young rookie or second year player named Al SImmons (who was from Milwaukee) in uniform with the Athletics. From the estate of Ralph Shinners, he is in the photo as well as Simmons, Jim Poole, Walter Lutzke and others. More research is needed but the photo is a gem with an early image of SImmons in uniform and several tough major leaguers.
