One of the best Mickey Mantle images we have ever offered is this masterpiece from 1956 by photographer Don Wingfield. He is seen here posed with fellow Hall of Famer Pee Wee Reese either before the World Series or the All-Star Game, and with each player holding their bats for the camera. Photograph is crystal clear and in tremendous condition making it a perfect 10/10! Stamped by Wingfield on the back (Large stamp is his original 1950's version). An absolutely incredible original that was sold in our Feb 2022 auction and at the time it had a letter from PSA (Type 1) but we did not receive the letter when receiving it for consignment, so a replacement can be ordered if the buyer wishes and we can assist with this if necessary.
