1965 Large photograph of rookie Joe Namath from the New York Jets and showing off his throwing motion during his first ever training camp as a professional. Taken at the Peekskill Military Academy in New York, which was the Jets training facility, this captures Namath just after he finished his college career and looked to create a name for himself in the NFL. Taken by Hal Mathewson of the New York Daily News and with a large paper caption on the back, Namath is noted as being the "$4,000,000 Rookie from Alabama" which is an amazing caption that really captures the moment. Encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1, we feel this is the greatest image of Namath in the hobby save his 1965 Topps rookie image. The condition and quality are both outstanding with a touch of paper loss on the bottom.
