Original 1944 photograph of the massive array of ships and supplies being unloaded onto the recently liberated beaches at Normandy following D-Day. The image was known as the personal favorite of Dwight Eisenhower and this example is dated on the back from 1944 which is an extreme rarity. An important image in pretty nice shape overall with a tiny paper loss spot on the upper left and some editorial marks from publication. A true piece of WWII history that is one of only a handful we have ever seen before.
