1925 Large photograph of Walter Hagen, the greatest golfer in the world at the time, as he shows off his flashy new car that he bought following a great season in 1924! He was posing in his classic golf outfit at a country club in Long Island as he was attempting to qualify for the upcoming US Open. This is a really cool image that we have never seen before, issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well. Hagen was the first golf star to flash his wealth and status, much like Babe Ruth in baseball, and as a result he changed the game forever. This photo is one of the first to really accentuate this aspect of his life and it presents wonderfully despite some wear to the corners.
