1929 Sweeping and beautiful image of the start of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Philadelphia Athletics at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Likely taken at the first game of the series, this was the start of a dynasty for the Athletics and a resurgence for the Cubs. The image is clear and artistic with a tremendous amount of detail packed into an 8x10 frame with players, fans, ballpark venders, photographers and all manner of banners visible to the naked eye. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, this is one of the best images from an important World Series that we have ever seen!
