1927 Action photograph from the third game of the World Series and showing Pie Traynor fielding a ball at third base. It mentions on the back that the runner heading toward second base was Lou Gehrig (clearly visible in the photo) and that he would take third on a bad throw. Any images from the 1927 World Series are desirable, but ones that picture and mention Lou Gehrig are tough to find! Issued by the Associated Press and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, the photo presents well with a corner chip being the only real flaw.
