1944 Rare photograph of a communications center being set up on a bombed out street corner during the liberation of Cherbourg. Taken by photographer Bert Brandt and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, he was one of the most famous photographers who was part of the D-Day invasion and then followed troops through France for months. Brandt's photographs are extremely underrated when compared to some of his peers and this is the only example of this powerful photograph we have ever seen!
