1934 Vintage photograph of four members of the famed "Dillinger Gang," including John Dillinger himself, as they appeared in court in Tucson, Arizona after being captured. The famous gangster is pictured as center with his head down in defeat, while several of he lady companions attempt to hide their faces from photographers in shame. They would soon be transported to Crown Point, Indiana where John would execute the most daring escape since Billy the Kid and further vault his infamy into the hearts of Americans. A rare image from Acme and with a full paper caption on the back as well, this is the only example of this famous photograph we have ever seen and it is being offered here for the first time ever, encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1.
