Touching 1961 photograph showing two of the better welterweight boxers of the era, Benny "Kid" Paret and his challenger Emile Griffith, as they square off. The next year (1962) would see the two square off again in one of the most tragic matches of all time as Griffith would pummel Paret who would eventually die from his injuries. A unique and dramatic image in perfect condition issued by the New York Daily News and with a full paper caption on the back.
