To very little fanfare, the Negro Leagues officially played their final game on August 20, 1961. Satchel Paige pitched, Roy Campanella was in attendance, and even Governor Nelson Rockefeller was at the game. It was all great, and then it was over! This is the only photograph we have ever seen from this important event an it is being offered here for the first time ever and shows Paige and Campanella exchanging words before the game. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
