1949 Portrait style photograph of Hall of Famer Satchel Paige in uniform and posing at the ballpark. While this is a confirmed 1949 image and this specimen has some significant age to it, it is impossible to tell exactly when it was developed. There are no date stamps as this was a team issue and the paper caption on the back (which dates to the 1950's) appears to have been added by a newspaper archive later when the photo was re-used for a story. We feel this is a Vintage 1 example that fits within our five year window, but we also feel PSA will say this is a "Type 2 c. 1950's" so please keep this in mind when bidding.
