Lot Description  

1949 Intense action photograph of Hall of Famer Roy Campanella as he blocked the plate to prevent Ed Lopat from scoring in the World Series. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is identified as the work of famous photographer Herb Scharfman.
