1938 Statuesque action photograph of Lou Gehrig as he busts out of the box after hitting the ball in his 2000th consecutive game played on May 31. Incredible detail and one of the best batting images of ANY player we have handled, Gehrig is in the process of blasting a single in this at bat against the Red Sox! Condition is outstanding and grades a perfect 10/10. Clarity and contrast are very nice and the image is so detailed you can see the dirt Gehrig has kicked up as he strides forward. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back, the image is encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1.
