Both George Kelly and Wally Pipp were bona fide stars of the 1920's, but both were forced out of their spots by even better young stars. In the case of Pipp it would be a young Lou Gehrig that forced the Yankees to ditch him to Cincinnati and in the case of Kelly, it would be young Bill Terry who required a trade as well. Here both players are pictured in their Reds uniforms and hoping for a fresh start. A rare and large image in nice shape overall with some editorial pinholes being the only flaws. Issued by Wide World Photos and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
