Frank McKenry pitched a total of 27 games over two years for the Cincinnati Reds and as such, is one of the toughest players from the pre-WWI era to find quality images of. The offered photograph from 1915 shows McKenry posed proudly in uniform at the ballpark for a photographer from Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption. This is a possibly unique survivor and is being offered for the first time ever. I bet if he had known people would still be looking at this photo 107 years later, he would have washed and ironed his uniform, but quirks like that make these early baseball images so fun!
