1948 Double weight studio photograph of Marilyn Monroe from one of her first ever films, while still a bit-part actress, in the Columbia Pictures release of "Ladies of the Chorus." One of her earliest and best we have ever seen, this is stamped on the back by photographer Irving Lipmann and in great condition. Images of Marilyn from this film often show her from the side or in a huge group with this example capturing her facing the camera and taking the lead in the frame. A true rarity among early Marilyn images making this one of the top early pre 1950's photographs of Monroe we have ever handled!
