1929 Photograph of President Herbert Hoover as he appeared before microphones to address the nation, less than two weeks after the famous stock market crash that launched America into the Great Depression. While it is unclear if he touched on the subject, the nature of the event was to honor Armistice Day, but the Nation clearly was thinking of economics. Hoover would go down in history as one of the worst presidents of all time and you can almost feel the anxiety of the stock market crash on his face! Issued by Harris and Ewing and with stamps and a paper caption on the back. The photo is in great shape.
