1917 Large photograph of the interior of the Lewis Air Cooled Machine Gun factory in New York and showing a packed house of workers preparing guns for the soldiers overseas during WWI. A bold image that also illustrates the chaos the pre-assembly line world, this is a wonderful piece of war and technology history. Issued by the Central Press and stamped on the back with a large paper caption, the photo has some pinholes from editorial use but it otherwise presents really well.
