In 1920 Judge Kennesaw Mountain Landis was made Commissioner of baseball as a result of the 1919 Black Sox scandal. The offered image is one of the finest examples of a Kennesaw Mountain Landis photo we have ever seen in the hobby! Paper caption on the back refers to the fact that Landis has been "Offered" the position of head of baseball but has yet to accept it! Dated on the front 1920 by Photographer Moffett of Chicago, it is dated on the back Feb 28, 1921 and carries stamps from both NEA and International News. Condition is very nice and the quality is outstanding with a cool, artistic feel to it. You will not find a better one!
