1923 Portrait photograph of famous spitball pitcher Bill Doak from the St. Louis Cardinals. Issued by the Keystone View Company and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this is the image used to make his 1923-24 Exhibit baseball card and is the only known example of this image that we have ever handled. A masterpiece of early baseball card photography and while not stamped, this is a known image by master photographer Charles Conlon!
